On Monday night we had a visit from a professional photographer. He came to take the final photos of our house now it is furnished, and all the Christmas decorations are down. We were extremely lucky to have an amazing night, clear skies and a beautiful sunset. He waited until dusk to get the lighting just right (as you will see). Look out for the colours in the sky in the bedroom shot – they are real… no photo-shopping going on there! Enough said… here are the final photos of our house, now we’ve moved in:
I’ve had feedback that a slideshow would be great, so I have inserted one below, or you can view them individually with descriptions even further below…

We’ve just said goodbye to four adults and three children who came to visit for an Australia Day BBQ, and stayed the night – the house is designed perfectly for entertaining, overnight guests and children (especially the lawn out the back for running them until they’re exhausted!!) – we couldn’t be happier, thanks Michael, Matt and Chloe from Pivot Homes.
You can also view my Pinterest Board where I collated all my inspiration for the house styling and decorating. Most of the things in the board ended up in the house, the rest will be added slowly!
If you would like the details about any of the finishes in the house you can read about all that in the Colour Selection (Specifications) post.
Cheers,
Bernice

Hi… I loved following your blog and the building process….we are currently building in the sands and I have a question for you which i hope you are able to help with…. I am going around in circles with Telstra on what they offer in relation to Internet connection etc… What do you guys have?
Thank you
Marnee
Hi Marnee,
Funny you should mention that! I was just on twitter yesterday bringing to their attention that they don’t have enough ports at our exchange to service all the new residents (we have had to sign-up to mobile broadband for our home computer – it drops out and gets very slow at peak times!) they can’t connect ADSL. They indicated that they are adding some new ports in April 2012, but they are only covering Sands Blvd and Links Drive… Not St Georges Way (our street). Not sure which street you are on. If you want to let them know make a comment on their blog about it… http://exchange.telstra.com.au/2011/10/25/telstra-will-start-rolling-out-top-hats-in-november/
I hope that helps?

Hi there,
I’m about to do a custom build south of Wollongong in NSW and I’m still finalizing some of my choices – can I ask which timber you used for your flooring? Also, which stone is that on your kitchen benchtop? I’m finding benchtop and splashback choice agonizing.
Kind regards,
Bronwyn
Hi Bronwyn,
The only ting we fought over was the colour of our kitchen bench. We ended up with Caesarstone in Sage. Our flooring is called Firestreak – we get a lot of compliments on it – we are very happy with the choice. Good Luck.
Cheers,
Belinda
